You Can Now Lock Incognito Tabs When Closing Chrome on Android
For those who enjoy their privacy, Google Chrome’s Incognito mode is a great way to browse the web without leaving a trace. However, if you’re using the Incognito mode on your Android device, then you may have noticed an annoying feature – when you close your browser, all of your Incognito tabs are closed as well.
But fear not! Google has recently added a new feature that allows you to lock your Incognito tabs when closing Chrome on Android. This means that your Incognito tabs will remain open and available the next time you open Chrome, even if you’ve closed the browser in the meantime.
To use this new feature, simply open Chrome on your Android device and switch to Incognito mode. Then, open a few tabs and access some websites. Once you’re ready to close Chrome, click on the three dots icon in the top right corner of the screen to open the browser’s menu. From there, select “Close all tabs” as you normally would.
However, before you do, make sure to check the box next to “Keep incognito tabs” at the bottom of the screen. This will ensure that your Incognito tabs remain open and are not closed when you close the browser.
With this feature, you can easily switch back to your Incognito tabs the next time you open Chrome, without having to search for the websites all over again. It’s a great way to quickly get back to browsing without leaving any trace on your device.
Of course, it’s important to remember that Incognito mode isn’t foolproof and doesn’t guarantee complete privacy. Your ISP, employer, or website may still be able to track your activity. Additionally, it’s important to exercise caution when browsing the web, even in Incognito mode, to protect your personal information.
