Ways to Set Reminders in Windows
Setting reminders is an important feature that helps us remember tasks, meetings or events that we may forget. Windows, being one of the most frequently used operating systems, offers various ways to set reminders on your computer. In this article, we’ll share the different ways you can set reminders in Windows.
- Using the Alarms & Clock App:
Windows 10 has an inbuilt alarm clock app called Alarms & Clocks. Open the app, click on the “Alarm” tab, and then click on the “+” button to create a new alarm. You can set the time, frequency, and repeat option for the alarm. Once you have entered all the details, click on the “Save” button.
- Using Cortana:
Cortana is Microsoft’s virtual assistant for Windows 10. It can set reminders for you based on your voice commands. To set a reminder using Cortana, click on the Cortana icon on your taskbar, and then say “Remind me to…” followed by the task you want to be reminded of, and the time or date you want to be reminded. Cortana will then set the reminder for you.
- Using Sticky Notes:
Sticky Notes is a built-in app in Windows that can be used to set reminders as well. You can create a new sticky note by pressing the Windows key + S, type “Sticky Notes” into the search box, and then press Enter. Once the app opens, click on the “+” sign to create a new note. You can then write the reminder on the note and pin it on your desktop.
- Using Task Scheduler:
Task Scheduler is a system tool in Windows that can be used to schedule tasks and set up reminders. To open Task Scheduler, press the Windows key + X, click on “Control Panel,” and then type “Task Scheduler” into the search box. Once it opens, click on “Create Basic Task,” and then follow the prompts to set up the reminder task.
- Using the Calendar App:
Windows 10 comes with a built-in Calendar app that can be used to set reminders. To open the app, click on the Calendar icon in your taskbar, and then click on the “+” sign to create a new event. Fill in the details of the event, including the reminder time, and then click on the “Save” button.
