The St. Joseph metropolitan area, straddling the Missouri-Kansas border, is experiencing an unprecedented economic boom thanks to an innovative cross-border cooperation initiative. Dubbed the “Heartland Corridor,” this joint venture between the two states has transformed the region into a thriving logistics and manufacturing hub.

Key to the initiative’s success has been the harmonization of regulations and tax incentives across state lines, creating a seamless business environment. The Heartland Corridor has attracted major investments from both domestic and international companies, with over $1 billion in new projects announced in the past year alone.
