Space Command May Move Out of Colorado Springs
There is speculation that Space Command, currently stationed at Peterson Space Force Base since 1985, might move to Huntsville, Alabama. This follows a decision reversal by President Biden in 2023 to keep Space Command in Colorado Springs after an initial move announcement by President Trump. No official decisions have been made yet, but Alabama Senator Katie Britt indicated that Huntsville’s Redstone Arsenal is considered best for national security.
