Romeoville Man Charged in Joliet Shooting
A Romeoville man, Nevin McMurtry, has been charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon in connection with a shooting that occurred in Joliet in July 2024. McMurtry was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force and is currently in custody at the Will County Adult Detention Facility. The shooting incident involved multiple shots fired at a house and an unoccupied vehicle.
