A Glendale man, Huangting Gong, 30, is facing the death penalty for allegedly murdering a couple he owed $80,000. Gong is accused of shooting Kuanlun Wang, 37, and kidnapping and killing Wang’s wife, Jing Li, 37, before burning their bodies and stealing luxury goods worth $250,000 from their home. Gong’s arraignment is scheduled for December 2, 2024.
