Man Arrested in Connection with Sunday Shooting
Columbia Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that occurred in downtown Columbia on Sunday. Deandre Denny, 28, of Columbia, faces charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
The incident took place shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday in the 900 block of East Broadway. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area. After investigating the incident, police found the suspect and took him into custody without further incident.
