How to Wirelessly Charge Other Devices Using Your Pixel Phone
As smartphone technology continues to advance, one of the most sought-after features in new devices is wireless charging capabilities. Many flagship smartphones like Google’s Pixel phones have wireless charging built-in, but did you know that these devices can also be used to wirelessly charge other devices?
If you’re a Google Pixel owner, you can take advantage of the wireless charging feature to charge other Qi-enabled devices. Here’s how you can do it:
Step 1: Check for Compatibility
Before you try to charge another device, make sure it’s compatible with Qi wireless charging technology. Most modern smartphones and other devices support wireless charging. Check the device’s user manual to confirm its compatibility with wireless charging.
Step 2: Turn on the Pixel Phone’s Wireless Charging Feature
To enable wireless charging on your Pixel phone, swipe down from the top of the screen to access the Quick Settings menu. Look for the “Wireless Charging” icon and press it. If your phone is already charging, the icon will be green.
Step 3: Turn on the Reverse Charging Feature
To charge another device wirelessly using your Pixel phone, you’ll need to enable reverse charging. To do this, connect your Pixel phone to a power source using a USB-C cable. Once it’s connected, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver and turn on the “Reverse Charging” option.
Step 4: Place the Other Device on Top of Your Pixel Phone
Once the reverse charging feature is turned on, you can start charging your other device wirelessly. Simply place the other device on top of your Pixel phone’s backside. The charging process should start automatically, and you’ll see a notification on your phone’s screen indicating that it’s charging another device.
Step 5: Monitor the Charging Process
As the other device charges, keep an eye on its battery life to ensure it’s getting the charge it needs. You can check the charging status on your Pixel phone’s screen and adjust the placement of the devices to achieve optimal charging.
That’s it! With these steps, you can use your Pixel phone to charge other compatible devices wirelessly. This feature is handy when you need to charge another device on-the-go or when you don’t have access to a traditional charging cable.
