Facebook lets you connect with friends, colleagues, and people from your past by sending them friend requests. Sometimes you might want to review the friend requests you’ve already sent to manage or recall them. Fortunately, Facebook provides a way to view sent friend requests:
1. Log in to Facebook: Use your credentials to access your account on either the desktop website or through the mobile app.
2. Go to the Friends section: On the desktop, click on the ‘Friends’ icon at the top of the page. On mobile, tap on the Menu (three horizontal lines) and then select ‘Friends’.
3. Find Friend Requests: On the desktop version, click on ‘Friend Requests’ at the top of the Friends page. On mobile, after tapping ‘Friends’, select ‘See All’ beside ‘Friend Requests’.
4. View Sent Requests: There will be a link for “View Sent Requests” on this page. Clicking it will display all of the friend requests you’ve sent that haven’t been accepted yet.
5. Manage Sent Requests: From here you can either cancel a friend request by clicking ‘Cancel Request’ next to someone’s name or leave it to be possibly accepted later.
How to View Your Sent Follow Requests on Instagram
Instagram’s process is more streamlined when checking for sent follow requests because Instagram is primarily a mobile platform:
1. Access your Instagram profile: Open Instagram and go to your profile by tapping your avatar icon.
2. Navigate to Settings: Tap on the three horizontal lines (hamburger menu) in the top right corner, then hit ‘Settings’.
3. Go to Security -> Tap ‘Security’ then select ‘Access Data’.
4. Review Connections: Under ‘Connections’, tap ‘View All’ for ‘Current follow requests’.
5. Check the Status of Follow Requests: Here, you’ll see a list of all users who haven’t yet accepted or denied your follow requests.
Bear in mind that these processes are correct as of my knowledge cutoff date in 2023; interfaces and procedures can change, so it is always good practice to look for updated instructions if you’re encountering issues or differences in navigation.
