How to View Only Camera Photos on iPhone
In a world where our iPhones are swamped with images from various sources – be it downloads, screenshots, or social media – finding those precious moments we’ve captured with the iPhone’s camera can be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Fortunately, Apple has provided a neat and straightforward way to sift through the sea of images and view only the photos you’ve snapped with the iPhone’s camera.
Firstly, launch the Photos app on your iPhone. This is your gateway to all visual media on your device. The Photos app automatically organizes your pictures into several categories to make navigation easier.
Once you have the Photos app open, click on the ‘Albums’ tab located at the bottom of the screen. This section neatly arranges your pictures into different albums based on their type.
In ‘Albums,’ you want to look for an album called ‘Camera Roll’ or ‘Recents,’ which is essentially where all photos and videos that you have taken directly with your iPhone’s camera are stored. This album does not include images you’ve received from other sources.
For older versions of iOS, the ‘Camera Roll’ album will display only those photos taken directly with your iPhone’s camera. However, in newer versions of iOS, you might need to search for ‘Recents.’
If you want to go one step further and filter out videos so that you’re only viewing photos, you can tap on the ‘Media Types’ section within Albums. Here you’ll find different categories like ‘Videos,’ ‘Selfies,’ and ‘Live Photos.’ To view just camera photos, select ‘Photos.’ Note that this selection may still include non-camera images like screenshots or saved pictures if they were not sorted out from the main camera roll.
Should you wish to only see photographs shot in Portrait mode or with specific filters applied by the camera app, look for albums named after these features such as ‘Portrait’ or ‘Long Exposure.’ Apple’s intelligent categorization makes it a breeze to access these specialized shots directly.
Lastly, if you frequently need to access only your camera photos and want this process to be quicker in the future, consider creating a new album and manually adding only those images taken by your iPhone’s camera.
Navigating through vast photo libraries can seem daunting at first, but once familiar with these simple steps, accessing just your iPhone’s camera photos becomes a matter of few taps. With this guidance in mind, start organizing your photo library more efficiently today!
