How to View and Manage Your App Store Purchases on a Mac
If you’re a Mac user who frequently purchases apps from the App Store, it can be helpful to know how to view and manage those purchases. Fortunately, it’s easy to do—the App Store offers a simple interface for viewing your purchase history, as well as managing your subscriptions and authorized devices. Here’s how to get started:
1. Open the App Store on your Mac. If you’re not already signed in, you’ll need to do so with your Apple ID.
2. Click on your name in the lower-left corner of the App Store window. This will bring up your account information.
3. In the Account Information section, look for the Purchase History link. Click on it to see a chronological list of all the apps you’ve purchased through the App Store.
4. To see more information about a particular purchase, click on its name in the list. This will bring up a detailed view of the app, including its version number and download size.
5. If you want to hide a purchase from your history (perhaps because it’s embarrassing or irrelevant), click the “X” next to its name. You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to hide the purchase; click “Hide” to do so.
6. To manage your subscriptions, click on the Manage button next to the Subscriptions header. You’ll see a list of all the subscriptions you’re currently paying for through the App Store.
7. Click on a specific subscription to see more information, including its renewal date and billing interval. If you want to cancel the subscription, click the “Edit” button and then select “Cancel Subscription” from the dropdown menu.
8. To manage your authorized devices, click on the Manage Devices button under the Subscriptions header. You’ll see a list of all the devices you’ve authorized to use your App Store purchases.
9. If you want to remove a device from your list, click the “X” next to its name. You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to remove the device; click “Remove” to do so.
That’s it! With these steps, you should be able to view, manage, and clean up your App Store purchase history as needed. Whether you’re looking to cancel a subscription, remove an authorized device, or just tidy up your purchase list, the App Store makes it easy to do so.
