How to Use WhatsApp Web When Your Phone Is Offline
WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps worldwide. With over 2 billion users, it has become a preferred mode of communication for people across the globe. WhatsApp Web is a useful feature that enables users to access their chats on a desktop browser. However, it requires the phone to be online for it to work. But, what if your phone is offline? This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to use WhatsApp Web when your phone is offline.
1. Install the Google Chrome extension
To use WhatsApp Web on a desktop, you need to have the Google Chrome browser. Once you have installed it, download the WhatsApp Web extension from the Chrome Web Store. This extension allows you to access WhatsApp Web directly from your desktop without opening Google Chrome each time.
2. Enable WhatsApp Web
Before you can use WhatsApp Web, you need to enable it on your phone. Open WhatsApp on your phone and go to the three dots on the top right corner. Click on it and go to “WhatsApp Web”. Scan the QR Code that appears on the screen using your phone camera.
3. Turn on Airplane Mode
Once you have enabled WhatsApp Web, turn on Airplane Mode on your phone. This cuts off all wireless connections on your phone, including mobile network and Wi-Fi. This action essentially disconnects your phone from the internet, but WhatsApp Web remains connected to your browser.
4. Open WhatsApp Web
Now that WhatsApp Web is connected to your browser, go to the Google Chrome extension and open WhatsApp Web. You will be able to access all of your chats and messages, even when your phone is offline.
5. Send and receive messages
You can now send and receive messages on WhatsApp Web even when your phone is offline. Any messages you send will be delivered to the recipient when your phone is back online. Any messages you receive will appear on WhatsApp Web but will not show up on your phone until it is connected to the internet.
