How to Use Snapchat Magic Eraser on Android and iPhone
Snapchat’s Magic Eraser tool is a fun and useful feature that allows users to remove unwanted elements from their snaps seamlessly. Whether you’re an Android or iPhone user, you can access this tool with just a few taps. Here’s how to use Snapchat’s Magic Eraser on both Android and iPhone devices:
Step 1: Open Snapchat App
Launch the Snapchat application on your device. Make sure that you have updated the app to the latest version to use the Magic Eraser feature.
Step 2: Take a Snap
Use Snapchat’s camera to take a photo as you normally would by tapping the circular button at the bottom center of the screen.
Step 3: Select the Scissors Tool
After capturing your snap, look for the scissors icon on the right side of your screen among other editing tools.
Step 4: Choose Magic Eraser
Tap on the stars icon which represents the Magic Eraser. It may be nested under the scissor icon, depending on your app’s version.
Step 5: Erase Unwanted Elements
Use your finger to brush over any element or object that you want to remove from your snap. The Magic Eraser will intelligently fill in the space where the unwanted element was with a pattern that matches the surrounding area.
Step 6: Adjust Your Brush Size
If you need more precision, you can adjust the brush size by zooming in and out with two fingers, as you would with any image on your phone, for finer control over what you erase.
Step 7: Wait for it to Process
Once you are done highlighting all unwanted objects, lift your finger off the screen. Snapchat will process your input and within a few moments should clear away the selected areas.
Step 8: Review and Edit Further if Necessary
Inspect your snap for any imperfections. If there are still traces of what you removed or if an area didn’t blend well, you can go back using the eraser to refine it further or use other editing tools to enhance your snap.
Step 9: Send Your Snap
Once satisfied with your edited masterpiece, hit ‘Done’ to save changes and then proceed with sending it to friends or adding it to your story as usual.
Remember, while Magic Eraser is powerful, it works best on simple backgrounds or consistent patterns. Complex images may require a little more patience and finesse to achieve perfect results.
