How to Use Samsung Secure Folder to Protect Your Private Files
In today’s world where everything is available digitally, it has become increasingly important to protect our private files and sensitive data. Whether it’s personal photos, financial documents, or confidential business information, we all want to keep them safe from prying eyes. Samsung offers a great solution for this problem with its Secure Folder feature, which allows users to keep their files and information private and secure.
Samsung Secure Folder is a separate, encrypted space within the phone’s storage that can be set up and accessed via the Settings app. Using this feature, you can create a secure folder and move your private files into it, protecting them from unauthorized access. Here are some steps to set up and use Samsung Secure Folder to protect your private files:
- First, go to your phone’s Settings app and click on “Lock screen and security” option. Then select “Secure Folder” from the list of options.
- In the next step, you’ll be asked to sign in to your Samsung account or create a new one. If you already have a Samsung account, enter the login details, or click on “Create account” to set up a new account.
- Once you have signed in or created a new account, you’ll be able to create a new Secure Folder. Click on “Create Secure Folder” and set up a password, PIN or pattern that you’ll be using to access the folder.
- After that, your Secure Folder should be ready to use. You can add files to it by going to the Secure Folder app in the app drawer and clicking on “+Add files”, or by selecting the file from the gallery file manager or other apps on your phone and choosing “Move to Secure Folder”.
- You can customize the Secure Folder settings by going to the “Settings” option inside the Secure Folder app. Here, you’ll be able to configure things like backup settings, biometric authentication options, and more.
It’s worth mentioning that Samsung Secure Folder encrypts all the files that you store in it, so even if someone manages to access your device, they won’t be able to view your private files without your password or PIN. Additionally, you can also use biometric authentication options like fingerprint or facial recognition to access your Secure Folder quickly and easily.
