How to Skin a Deer

7.Skinning the back and sides:
As you work your way towards the head, continue to slowly peel back hide applying downward pressure. Make sure to slice through any stubborn tissues while always taking care not to slice the hide itself.
8.Detaching the front legs:
Once you’ve reached front shoulders, make circular cuts around each leg just above elbow joint similar to hind legs. Then, cut horizontally across chest area from one front leg to another.
9.Skinning the front legs and neck:
Carefully peel hide away from front legs working up towards neck. Be mindful of thinner areas like shoulder and neck where chances of tearing are higher.
10.Removing skin around the head:
Skinning around head can be tricky, so proceed cautiously by cutting around antlers’ base (if present) before working your way down towards ears, eyes, and mouth area.
