1.Gather materials: To get started, you’ll need a roll of shrink wrap film (polyolefin or PVC), a heat gun, scissors, and a flat surface like a table or counter.
2.Measure the item: Determine the dimensions of the item you want to shrink wrap. Add a few extra inches to each side to make sure there’s enough film to cover it completely.
3.Cut the film: Unroll the shrink wrap film on your workspace and cut it according to your measurements.
4.Wrap the item: Place your item in the center of the cut piece of film. Fold the sides over it, making sure there are no gaps or air pockets between the film and the item. You can use tape to secure the edges if necessary.
5.Seal the edges: Using scissors, trim any excess film around the edges. This will create a neat appearance and help minimize weak points in the final shrink wrap.

8.Shrink the top and bottom: If sealing edges on the top and bottom of your item, apply heat evenly across these areas too. Make sure to keep the heat gun moving to avoid burning or melting the shrink wrap.
9.Ventilate: After shrinking the film, some trapped air inside may cause bubbles. Small holes can be cut using a pin or needle to release trapped air but ensure the integrity of the package is maintained.
10.Cool down: Allow your shrink-wrapped product to cool for several minutes before handling. This will ensure that the film sets and hardens properly.
11.Inspect the final result: Double-check that there are no wrinkles, gaps, or unsealed edges in your shrink wrap. If necessary, reapply heat from the heat gun to fix any imperfections.
