How to Share Books on Kindle: 8 Steps

1. Create an Amazon Household
The first step in sharing Kindle books is to create an Amazon Household, which allows up to two adult accounts, four child profiles, and four teen profiles.
– Go to the Amazon Household page (amazon.com/myh).
– Click on “Add Adult” or “Add a Child/Teen.”
– Follow the prompts and enter any required information.
2. Link Your Kindle Accounts
Next, you need to link your Kindle accounts with the other members of your Amazon Household. To do this:
– Navigate to the “Manage Your Content and Devices” page (amazon.com/mycd).
– Click the “Preferences” tab.
– Scroll down to “Households and Family Library.”
– Click “Learn more about Households.”
3. Access Shared Books
Once your accounts are linked, shared books can be accessed easily from both accounts’ Kindles.

6. Accept Shared Books

– Go to the library.
– Select “Shared.”
– Click “Accept” next to each book they want to add to their library.
7. Remove or Stop Sharing Books
If you decide to stop sharing a book, or no longer want access to one that was shared with you, simply remove it from your account.
– From the “Manage Your Content and Devices” page (amazon.com/mycd), select the book.
– Click the “…” (ellipsis) icon.
– Choose “Remove from Library.”
