How to Permanently Disable Samsung Pay
Samsung Pay, the mobile payment service from Samsung, has been growing in popularity over the years. However, despite its usefulness, there may be situations where a user may want to disable the service permanently. This could be due to varied reasons such as security concerns, privacy, or simply not having a need for it. In this article, we will guide you through the process of permanently disabling Samsung Pay.
Step 1: Open Samsung Pay
The first step would be to open the Samsung Pay app. You can do this either by swiping up from the home screen or by tapping on the Samsung Pay icon on the app screen.
Step 2: Tap on the three lines at the top left corner
On the top left corner of the screen, you will notice three horizontal lines. Tap on this button, and it will open the Samsung Pay menu.
Step 3: Tap on Settings
From the menu, select “Settings” at the bottom.
Step 4: Turn off Samsung Pay
Next, you should find an option that says “Samsung Pay.” Toggle the switch next to it to turn off the service.
Step 5: Remove cards
Once Samsung Pay is turned off, you would need to remove all the credit and debit cards that you have registered for the service. Tap on “Payment Cards,” and you can select the card that you want to delete. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove them one by one.
Step 6: Remove Samsung Pay from home screen
Lastly, it is a good idea to remove the Samsung Pay icon from your home screen to avoid accidentally opening it. To do this, tap and hold the icon until the “Remove” option appears. Drag it to the “Remove” option to delete it from your home screen.
