If you’re looking for a simple and fun indoor game to play with friends or family, making a paper football is the perfect solution! This easy-to-create game can be both entertaining and competitive, allowing you to test your flicking skills while having a great time. Here are the 12 steps on how to make a paper football
1. Gather materials: You’ll need an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of paper and a pair of scissors.
2. Landscape orientation: Place your piece of paper horizontally (landscape) on a flat surface.
3. Fold the paper: Fold the bottom edge of the paper to the top edge, creating a crease in the middle.
4. Cut along the crease: Use your scissors to cut along the middle crease to create two equal halves.
5. Select one half: Pick one of the pieces of paper and place it horizontally in front of you.
6. Create a triangle: Fold the top-left corner down towards the bottom edge, so that it aligns with the right side of the paper, forming a right triangle.
7. Keep folding triangles: Continue folding triangles by taking the bottom-right corner and folding it upwards towards the left edge, creating another right triangle on top of your initial triangle.
8. Alternate directions: Continue folding triangles in alternating directions (upwards or downwards) until you reach the end of the paper strip with only a small rectangular tail remaining.
9. Fold up the tail: Take that rectangular tail and fold it up into the last triangular pocket you created.
10. Tuck in the tail: If necessary, fold down any excess length on the tail before tucking it into that pocket, ensuring that your paper football remains secure.
11. Test your flicks: Now that you have created your paper football, lay it on its side and use your index finger to flick it across the table or towards a goal.
12. Create a goalpost: To add more excitement to your game, create a goalpost using your hands. Stick your thumbs together and lift your index fingers to form a “V” shape.
Now that you have your paper football and goalposts set up, you’re ready to play! Engage in friendly competition with family and friends as you flick the football back and forth trying to score points. Just remember, practice makes perfect, so keep playing to improve your flicking skills. Happy gaming!
