Polls are interactive and straightforward, making it easy for users to express their opinions. It is an excellent tool for generating engagement, collecting feedback, making decisions, or just having fun. This article will guide you through the process of creating and managing polls on Facebook.
Creating Polls on a Personal Profile
Unfortunately, Facebook no longer supports the creation of polls directly from personal profiles. However, you can still conduct polls via alternative methods by using third-party poll applications or posting a status update manually asking for people’s opinions.
Creating Polls on a Facebook Page
If you have a Facebook Page for your business or organization, creating a poll is simple. To create a poll on your Page, follow these steps:

2. Click the “Write a post…” box at the top.
3. Select “Add to Your Post” and then click “Poll.”
4. Type your question into the “Ask something…” box.
5. Enter the possible options (up to 10) in the “Option 1” and “Option 2” boxes (and so forth for more options).
6. Set the duration of your poll (from 1 day up to never ending).
7. Optionally, add images or GIFs to each option by clicking the camera icon beside each option.
8. Click “Post” to publish your poll.
Creating Polls in a Group
If you’re looking to create polls within a Facebook Group, follow these steps:
1. Visit the Group where you want to create a poll.
2. Click the “Write something…” box at the top of the Group’s timeline.
3. Select “Poll” from the various options below the text box.
4. Enter your question in the “Ask something…” box.

7. Click “Post” to submit your poll.
Managing and Analyzing Poll Results
Once your poll is published, Facebook makes it easy to manage and analyze results:
1. Visit your Page or Group where you posted the poll.
2. Find and click on the poll post.
3. Facebook displays real-time results showing how many votes each option has received.
4. The system also reveals which option you voted for (only visible to you, not others).
You can also edit or delete polls you’ve created, although editing will only be possible for Page admins, while deletion can be done by both admins and Group members who created the poll.
