How to Change the App Icons on Your Samsung Phone
Samsung smartphones come with pre-installed apps that have their own unique icon designs. While some users may find these icons attractive, others may prefer to customize their device’s appearance by changing the app icons. Fortunately, Samsung allows users to change app icons with just a few simple steps. In this article, we’ll guide you through the process on how to change the app icons on your Samsung phone.
Step 1: Download a Custom Icon Pack
Firstly, you need to download a custom icon pack from the Google Play Store. There are plenty of icon packs available that can completely change the appearance of your home screen. You can search for icon packs using keywords such as “Samsung icon pack” or “custom icon pack.”
Step 2: Install the Icon Pack
After downloading the icon pack, you need to install it. Go to the Google Play Store, tap on “My apps & games,” select the “Installed” tab and find the newly downloaded icon pack. Tap “Install” to install the icon pack on your Samsung phone.
Step 3: Enable the New Icon Pack
Once you’ve installed the icon pack on your device, you need to enable it. To do this, go to your home screen, tap and hold down on an empty spot of the screen, then select “Home screen settings” from the options that appear. From there, choose “Icon styles” and then select “Icon packs.” Here you can choose the new icon pack you just downloaded.
Step 4: Change Individual App Icons
Next, you can customize individual apps by changing their icons. To do this, long-press the app icon you wish to change, then select the “Edit” option. A pop-up window will appear, offering several icon options for the app. Choose the new icon you want for that app, and voila! Your new icons are now displayed on your home screen.
Step 5: Reset to Default
If you ever want to reset any apps back to the default icons, simply long-press the app, tap on “Edit,” then tap on the app’s current icon. This will direct you to a page where you can choose to “Reset to Default.”
