How to Change Orientation on Apple Watch
If you’re left-handed or simply prefer your Apple Watch to be oriented differently, changing the watch orientation is a simple process. Here’s how to adjust your Apple Watch to better suit your preferences:
1. Access Settings:
Begin by pressing the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch. This will take you to the Home screen. From there, tap on the Settings app, which looks like a gear.
2. General Settings:
Once in the Settings menu, scroll down and tap on ‘General’. This section allows you to manage various settings regarding the operation of your watch.
3. Orientation Setting:
In General, find and select ‘Watch Orientation’. Here, you’ll be given options for changing the orientation.
4. Choose Wrist & Digital Crown Position:
Within the Watch Orientation settings, you can specify which wrist you are wearing your Apple Watch on (left or right). You will also choose which side you want the Digital Crown to be on. For left-handed users or those who prefer it, placing the Digital Crown on the left side might feel more natural.
5. Adjust and Test:
After making your selections, wear your watch as usual and test it out to ensure that the screen orientation is comfortable and that the Crown is easily accessible.
6. Locking Orientation:
To prevent accidental changes or rotations of your watch’s display, lock your screen’s orientation by swiping up from the bottom of your Apple Watch face to bring up the Control Center. Tap on the lock icon.
By following these steps, you’ll have successfully changed the orientation of your Apple Watch, making it more personalized for your use and comfort.
