How to Answer (or Reject) Phone Calls on AirPods
AirPods are great for listening to music, but they also come in handy when you need to make or receive phone calls. However, if you’re new to AirPods, you may be unsure of how to answer or reject phone calls on them. Fortunately, it’s a straightforward process. Here’s how to do it.
Answering calls
When you receive a phone call while wearing AirPods, you’ll hear a ringtone in your ears. To answer the call:
1. Double-tap either AirPod. This will automatically answer the call.
2. If you’re using AirPods Pro, you can also press the force sensor on the stem of either AirPod to answer the call.
Once you’ve answered the call, you can start speaking to the other person through your AirPods. If you want to switch the call to your iPhone’s speaker or microphone, you can do so by tapping the audio icon on your iPhone’s screen during the call. Alternatively, you can remove one or both AirPods from your ears, which will automatically switch the call to your iPhone’s speakers.
Rejecting calls
If you don’t want to answer a call, you can quickly reject it using your AirPods. Here’s how:
1. Double-tap either AirPod. This will automatically reject the call.
2. If you’re using AirPods Pro, you can also press and hold the force sensor on the stem of either AirPod to send the call to voicemail.
You can customize the double-tap function of your AirPods, so you can choose to set it to reject calls on one AirPod and answer calls on the other.
Answering or rejecting phone calls with AirPods is easy and convenient. Just remember to double-tap or press and hold the force sensor on one of the AirPods to take the desired call action. AirPods are a great accessory to use when answering calls, especially if you’re in a noisy or crowded environment. They offer clear and uninterrupted sound so that you can have a clear conversation with the person on the other end of the line.
