How to Align in InDesign: 11 Steps
1. Open InDesign: Start by opening Adobe InDesign on your computer.
2. Create a new document or open an existing one: Click on “File” and select “New” to create a new document or click “Open” to work on an existing file.
3. Set up your workspace: Before you start aligning objects, ensure that your workspace is set up correctly. You can do this by going to Window > Workspace > Essentials (Default).
4. Select the objects you want to align: Click on the Selection Tool (black arrow) in the InDesign toolbar, then click and drag across the objects you want to align. You can also hold down the Shift key while clicking on individual objects if you prefer.

10. Modify alignment settings when necessary: If you need to change spacing between objects, it’s easy to update your alignment settings. Just select the objects, adjust the “Align To” settings in the Align panel, and click the appropriate alignment icon again.
