Google Classroom Tip #5: Align Curriculum
Imagine this. You are a curriculum coordinator who has been informed of the unexpected release of new state standards in the subject area of math. The superintendent and school board want the district’s curriculum aligned to these new standards before school starts. In order to accomplish this, you will need all of the math teachers in your district to assist you. This is the only way you will be able to accomplish this before the new school year starts in a month.
You can do this, and here’s how. Create a Google Classroom where teachers can align curriculum with other teachers at the school or the district level. Allow each grade level to be responsible for aligning the curriculum at their grade level and their grade level only. Make sure that you create collaborative groups for each grade level, and invite all of its math teachers. That way, getting your curriculum aligned in a month will be a breeze. You might even get a raise or promotion from this Herculean feat. Take a bow. And remember to do something nice for all of the math teachers.
