Fixes for When You Can’t Make Phone Calls on Your iPhone
As an iPhone user, one of the worst things that can happen is when you can’t make phone calls. Whether you’re trying to call a friend or reach out to a business, it can be incredibly frustrating when your iPhone refuses to make or receive calls. However, there are a few things you can do to fix this issue.
1. Check your network connection
The first thing you should do when you can’t make phone calls on your iPhone is to check your network connection. Ensure that you’re in an area with network coverage and in range of a cellular tower. If you’re in a location where the signal is weak, it could be the reason why you can’t make or receive calls.
2. Turn off airplane mode
If airplane mode is enabled on your iPhone, you won’t be able to make phone calls. To turn off airplane mode, swipe down from the top right corner of your screen to open the Control Center. Look for the airplane icon and tap it to turn it off.
3. Restart your iPhone
Restarting your iPhone is an effective way to fix many issues, including problems with making phone calls. To restart your iPhone, press and hold the Power button until the slider appears. Drag the slider to the right to power off your iPhone, then press and hold the Power button again until the Apple logo appears.
4. Update your iPhone
Keeping your iPhone up to date is important, as updates often contain bug fixes and other improvements. To check if an update is available, go to Settings > General > Software Update. If an update is available, tap Download and Install.
5. Call your carrier
If you’ve tried all of the above fixes and you’re still unable to make phone calls, it’s time to reach out to your carrier. They’ll be able to troubleshoot the issue and provide you with solutions. Some carriers may also offer network resets, which can be a quick fix for many issues.
