Appleton, WI Metro Area: Fox Cities Perform Arts Center Announces Major Expansion
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton has unveiled plans for a $75 million expansion and renovation project. The initiative aims to enhance the center’s capabilities, improve accessibility, and cement its status as a premier cultural destination in the Midwest.
The expansion will include a new 500-seat theater for intimate performances, expanded rehearsal spaces, and state-of-the-art technical upgrades. The project also involves renovating the existing 2,100-seat main theater to improve acoustics and patron comfort.
Maria Garcia, Executive Director of the Fox Cities PAC, highlighted the project’s significance: “This expansion will allow us to attract a wider range of performances and provide even more enriching experiences for our community. It’s an investment in the cultural future of the Fox Cities.”
The project, funded through a combination of private donations and public support, is expected to break ground in spring 2025 and be completed by late 2026. Local officials anticipate that the expanded center will boost tourism and contribute significantly to the region’s economy.
