Romeoville Man Charged in Joliet Shooting
In a significant development, Nevin McMurtry from Romeoville has been charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. The charges stem from a shooting incident in Joliet in July 2024, where multiple shots were fired at a house and an unoccupied vehicle. McMurtry was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force and is currently in custody.
