How to Make McDonald’s Oatmeal: 9 Steps
Step 1: Gather the ingredients
To make McDonald’s style oatmeal at home, we’ll need the following ingredients:
– 1 cup instant rolled oats
– 1 3/4 cups water
– 1/4 cup diced apples
– 1/4 cup raisins
– 2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey to taste
– 2 tablespoons chopped and peeled almonds
– A pinch of salt
– Liquid creamer or milk, optional
Step 2: Measure out the oats
Measure one cup of instant rolled oats and set aside. This will be the base of our oatmeal.
Step 3: Dice the apples
Wash, peel, and slice one or two apples into small bite-sized pieces. You can use any apple variety you prefer.
Step 4: Prepare other toppings
Measure out the raisins, chopped almonds, and brown sugar or honey. Set them aside to use as toppings for our oatmeal later.
Step 5: Boil the water
In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the water to a rolling boil. Add a pinch of salt to the boiling water to enhance the flavor.
Step 6: Cook the oats
Once the water is boiling, add the instant rolled oats to the saucepan. Stir continuously for about two minutes, ensuring that there are no clumps in your mix.
Step 7: Add apples and raisins to the mix
After cooking the oats for about two minutes, stir in diced apples and raisins. Continue cooking for another one or two minutes until you reach your desired level of doneness.
Step 8: Serve hot
Turn off the heat and carefully transfer your cooked McDonald’s style oatmeal into a serving bowl.
Step 9: Garnish & enjoy!
Garnish your oatmeal with a sprinkle of chopped almonds and a drizzle of brown sugar or honey as desired. You can also add liquid creamer or milk to achieve an extra-creamy texture. Your McDonald’s oatmeal is now ready to serve and enjoy!
