How to Play Dice 4, 5, 6: 14 Steps
Step 1: Gather the necessary materials
To play Dice 4, 5, 6 you will need three six-sided dice and a group of willing players. The game can be played with two or more players, but it’s ideal for four to six participants.
Step 2: Set the stakes
Before starting the game, determine how much each participant will contribute to the pot. This can be any form of currency – usually money but can also be tokens or chips – just make sure all the players are comfortable with the amount being risked.
Step 3: Establish playing order
Decide the order in which players will take turns rolling the dice. A common method is to have each player roll one die and have the highest roller go first, with play moving clockwise.
Step 4: Understand scoring mechanics
In Dice 4, 5, 6, players aim to score points by rolling specific values on the dice. A roll of ‘4’, ‘5’, and ‘6’ is an automatic win for that player. However, rolling a ‘1’, ‘2’, and ‘3’ means an immediate loss.
Step 5: Begin rolling the dice
The first player will roll all three dice simultaneously. The goal is to roll as many ‘4’s,’5’s and ‘6’s as possible without rolling a losing combination (‘1′,’2’, and ‘3’).
Step 6: Calculate points
After each roll, the player should tally their scores based on these rules:
– Each ‘4’ rolled scores one point.
– Each ‘5’ rolled scores two points.
– Each ‘6’ rolled scores three points.
Step 7: Take additional rolls
If a player wants to take additional rolls after their initial throw, they must declare this before they reveal their current score. They can only roll the dice that scored them points in their previous throw.
Step 8: Set aside scoring dice
As players accumulate points, they should set aside the dice used to score those points. These dice cannot be rolled on the next turn.
Step 9: Avoid a losing combination
If a player rolls a ‘1’,’2′, and ‘3’ at any point during their turn, they lose all their accumulated points and must add the agreed-upon stake to the pot. Their turn then comes to an end.
Step 10: End your turn
A player’s turn ends if they choose not to roll any more dice or if all three of their dice have been set aside.
Step 11: Pass the dice
After one player’s turn has ended, they pass the dice clockwise to the next player, who will follow steps 5-10.
Step 12: Reach the winning score
Players continue taking turns rolling until someone reaches or surpasses the predetermined winning score (commonly set at 21 points).
Step 13: Offer a final round chance
Once a player hits the designated winning score, all other players receive one final chance to try and beat that score. The game continues in order for everyone to have an equal number of turns.
Step 14: Declare a winner
After each remaining player receives their final round chance, whoever has the highest score wins! If there is a tie, a roll-off between those tied players will occur with normal scoring rules applying until one winner emerges. The winner collects the pot. Enjoy your victory and get ready for another round of Dice 4, 5, 6!
