How to Disable Google Password Manager in Chrome on Desktop and Mobile
Google Password Manager is a convenient tool that helps users easily save and manage their various online passwords. However, some users may prefer to use other password management tools or disable the functionality altogether for privacy reasons. If you want to disable Google Password Manager on Chrome, both on desktop and mobile, here’s how to do it:
Disable Google Password Manager in Chrome on Desktop:
Step 1: Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner.
Step 2: Scroll down to “Settings” and click on it.
Step 3: From the left-hand menu, select “Autofill”.
Step 4: Under the “Passwords” section, toggle off the switch next to “Offer to save passwords”.
Step 5: If you want to clear all saved passwords, click on “Manage passwords” and click the three-dot menu icon next to any saved password to delete.
Disable Google Password Manager in Chrome on Mobile:
Step 1: Open the Chrome app on your mobile device.
Step 2: Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner.
Step 3: Scroll down and select “Settings”.
Step 4: From the list of options, select “Passwords”.
Step 5: Toggle off the switch next to “Save passwords”.
