Telegram is a convenient messaging application that enables you to communicate with people around the globe instantly. It is perfect for sharing messages, files, and media files anywhere and anytime. Nonetheless, over time, your contact list may become cluttered, and you may need to delete some of your Telegram contacts to keep things organized.

Follow the steps below to delete your Telegram contacts:

Step 1: Launch Telegram

First, open the Telegram app on your device. The app’s icon typically resembles a white paper airplane.

Step 2: Access the Contacts List

Once you are logged in, tap the three horizontal lines at the top left corner of the screen to access the menu. Then, tap on “Contacts” to view your contact list.

Step 3: Search for the Contact

Search for the contact you wish to delete by typing the name or phone number into the search bar at the top of the screen.

Step 4: Delete the Contact

When you locate the contact, tap and hold their name or profile picture. A pop-up box will appear, select “Delete Contact.” A confirmation message will appear, asking you to confirm the action. Tap “Yes” to confirm.

Step 5: Repeat for Other Contacts

Repeat the process to delete multiple contacts from your Telegram. If you have several contacts to delete, you don’t have to delete them one at a time. Select multiple contacts by tapping on each contact’s picture or name, then tap “Delete” to remove them all.

Tips: if you share mutual Groups or Channels with the contact you deleted, their username and name will still appear in those groups or channels.
