4 Kinds of Brainstorming
Brainstorming is a creative activity that is used to generate potential solutions to an issue. Judgment is postponed in order to generate a large list of ideas, some of which are more innovative or courageous than those initially considered. You most likely already have a definition of brainstorming that is similar to mine. However, I’m sure you didn’t realize there are various different sorts of brainstorming.
No, seriously. In this article, we will go through each one briefly.
Brainstorming in reverse
A creative problem-solving strategy in which the problem is turned around and viewed from a new perspective to generate new and alternative answers.
66 Phillips Brainstorming
A problem-solving technique in which a group of six people brainstorms for six minutes before a spokesman from each group offers either the best or all ideas to the larger group.
Brainwriting
A problem-solving strategy in which individuals brainstorm and document their ideas independently before sharing them with a group to further push their thoughts.
Stop-and-Go Brainstorming
A problem-solving strategy in which a group alternates between brainstorming solutions without evaluation for ten minutes and evaluating them for a brief period of time. The group alternates between brainstorming and evaluating ideas.
